Acne Types identification is extremely important before acne treatment. Acne is the most common of all skin problems and disorders. Acne has some types. Roundabout 80% of people between the ages of twelve and twenty-four suffer some Types of acne.
Acne occurs mainly when a follicle becomes infected. A follicle is essentially a hair root and acne is made when this follicle gets clogged with skin. The clogging of the follicle is caused by excessive oils secreted by the follicle.
Acne Types
There are several different acne types. Not all acne types behave an equivalent way in everyone. While one person may get a pimple, others may find that their skin is ravaged by other acne types. Those who suffer from the foremost severe acne types, usually develop scars that will remain with them throughout their lives.
Blackheads Acne Type
these are called open comedones as they have some level of exposure to the external air. Here, the pores are only partially clogged-up. Their defining black color is caused due to the oxidation of the melanin pigment that is found in the skin.
Whiteheads Acne Type
these are also called closed comedones and are formed due to a complete blockage of the skin pore. These are embedded deep within the skin. In the absence of air, these lesions develop a distinctive white spot-like appearance.
Papules Acne Type
these are among the most common acne types and are easily recognizable due to their red, inflamed appearance. Unlike the comedones (whiteheads or blackheads), papules have no visible head.
Pustules (zits) Acne Type
these are often confused with whiteheads, but pustules are actually the inflamed version of an earlier whitehead. They have a typical red circle and the center is usually yellow or white.
Nodules Acne Type
Spots created due to nodular acne are much larger in circumference and are quite painful. The nodules are like thick, hard bumps on the surface of the skin and they usually cause scarring. Without medical treatment, unsolved cases of nodules translate into impaction presence of thick closely-packed, pit-shaped nodules for life.
