Most people have probably had feet blisters from walking at some time, and know how unpleasant it can be. feet blister from walking are a common result of many minor injuries – burns, extreme cold or chemical irritation, they’re usually a result of friction. If you find yourself stuck with a feet blister from walking, remember that it is extremely important that you never break or bust the blister open. A majority of feet blisters from walking will end up healing on their own.

Apply Vaseline or petroleum jelly before putting on your shoes. Put either of these on the places on your feet that are likely to form feet blisters from walking. This will help feet slide against your shoes. It will also help to reduce friction.
It is best to experiment with socks. Try different brands. Socks with wick moisture are recommended. Cotton socks are not a good choice because they retain moisture, which softens the feet skin. This weakens the skin and makes it easier to tear and form feet blisters from walking. You can also try two pairs of socks, an inner socks pair of wicking fabric, and a padded outer socks pair. If you are walking or running for an extended period of time, make sure you change your socks as soon as they start to feel sweaty.
Tight shoes are known to contribute to friction that creat feet blisters from walking. It is a good idea to try your shoes first before walking or running long distances. Before you purchase, make sure you try your shoes on with your walking or running socks. When you are trying your new shoes, also make sure that they fit your feet well. Your shoes should not be tight or slide up and down your feet when you walk. After exercise, allow your shoes to dry completely before starting your exercise again.
Don’t Go Bare Feet
While it seems to be popular both for hip style reasons and for perceived foot, joint, and leg health reasons, to go barefoot or wear flat shoes that mimic being barefoot, it is advisable to avoid the temptation to go barefoot. While it may seem natural, going barefoot increases your chances of getting warts on your feet as well as tendonitis.
When you go barefoot, you also risk injury to the bottom of your feet. Whether you’re walking on some cool grass or in the driveway, sharp objects such as rocks and pieces of glass can cut the bottom of your feet. Being barefoot can also increase your risk of getting burnt and frostbite to the bottom of your feet as well, such as when you briefly walk on a sizzling road or driveway in summer or briefly step outside to get the newspaper on a cold, snowy, winter day.
Step 1 – Before you go walking –
Choose the correct hiking shoes and walking socks. The main causes of feet blisters from walking are friction and moisture. You need to be sure that your shoes fit perfectly, are completely comfortable and your socks are thick and of good quality. Good quality hiking socks will reduce the amount of friction between your feet and your shoes. Good quality hiking socks will also draw some of the moisture away from your feet, while your walking shoes should have a finger’s width of length between the end of your toe and shoes. This will allow your feet to expand while walking.
Step 2 – Break in your walking shoes –
Break in your boots. Heading off up Snow down in a pair of new walking shoes is sure to end in tears! Wear your shoes around the house, to the supermarket, to pick the kids up from school – just five minutes, and you’ll soon get to know which socks are most comfortable for your feet.
Step 3 – Prepare feet before walking –
Make sure that you powder your feet well or similar and apply plasters to the areas that may get feet blisters from walking tops of toes, back of the ankle, etc.
Step 4 – Whilst you are out on your walk –
Heat is another main cause of feet blisters from walking and hot sweaty hiking feet are a recipe for pain. When you stop for rest during a walk, always take off your walking shoes and socks to let your feet cool down. Take an extra pair of socks in your bag and change them if they get too warm or sweating.
Step 5 – When you get home –
Treat your feet when you get home. Remove your walking shoes and socks. Make sure you clean your feet properly. If you’ve time you can give you feet a little soak. By doing this you can relax your feet and also stop feet blisters from walking after the walk.
If you get a friction feet blisters from walking, do not be overly concerned. They typically disappear on their own within a few days. A new layer of skin forms beneath the feet blisters from walking and eventually the blistered skin peels away.
